If you follow on me on Instagram you may have heard me rave on about ‘chenille’ this week. I’ve seen this fabric many times in the 23 years of my life, but I never knew the name of it. Forgive me if you have, as I’m fascinated with my new discovery. Chenille is a type of yarn which fabrics are made of. The word is french for caterpillar which the yarn resembles. It’s feels just like velvet, though less smooth, and more rough looking – but it’s still soft. Super soft.

So I made this discovery of the name through Zara, and I absolutely love this jumper from their new collection. It’s so cosy, perfect for winter, and best of all, it’s lightly cropped. I love the cosiness of jumpers, but I dislike the way a lot of them appear unflattering when on. This one is cut short right at the hips, so you can expose your belt, or upper trouser details without having to ensure your other garments are set in place. The jumper just fits really well, and I abosultey adore how frills are in this season! You don’t realise at all until you’ve tried the jumper on, but you’re shoulders are really accentuated by this jumper with the frills on either side.

Hope you’ve had a top start to the week!
